    Dae-Min Kim (±è´ë¹Î, ÑÑ ÓÞÚÅ)

 * Wants to devote his life to the Ichthyology, fish study!
 * Now international transferred undergraduate student in the Dept. of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology, CFANS of the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (U.S.A).
 * Born in Seoul, capital of the South Korea.  Spent a little more than two years in the College of Life Sciences of the Korea University (°í·Á´ëÇб³, ÍÔÕòÓÞùÊÎç), Seoul, South Korea.   
 * Ethnically Korean. Genetically grouped into the Tungusic Race with Manchu(Jurchen), Xiongnu, Nanai, Japanese, Oroqen, Even and Ulchi.
 * Has the Uiseong of Kim original clan.
 * Currently doing research on " Phylogeography of a freshwater loach species, Iksookimia koreensis " with Dr. Andrew M. Simons, professor of University of Minnesota at Twin Cities, and Vincent Hirt, Ph.D student in Andrew's lab.   

 



    

 

 

 

 

 

 



 * about 200 individuals of Iksookimia koreensis were collected from South Korea

    Field of Interest :
   * Major Interest: Eurasian and North American Freshwater Fish - Conservation, Ecology, Evolution, Phylogenetics, Phylogeography, Human Cultures related to Fish - traditional fishery, foods, belief, Local Foods and Travel.
   * Second Major Interest: Nature, Aquarium, Geography, Landscape, Wildflowers, Hiking, Kayaking, Driving, Melodic power metal, Cross-over Korean traditional music, etc.
